Eberechi Eze ‘interested in Tottenham move’ as £60m transfer news emerges
Eberechi Eze could swap South London for North London by joining Tottenham this summer.
Ange Postecoglou has suffered greatly with injuries to key players this season, which has negatively impacted Spurs’ performances on the pitch.
Therefore, should the 59-year-old survive at Spurs, he will be keen to increase the size of his squad with some high-profile transfers in the summer ahead of what would be his third season as Tottenham boss.
As a result, one player that he could push to sign is Eze, and it looks as though the Australian and Spurs have been offered some encouragement in the race for the Crystal Palace star’s signature.

Tottenham leading the race for Eze
As reported by TBR Football (19 February), Spurs are at the front of the queue to sign Eze amid interest from other Premier League clubs.
Palace are prepared to lose the 26-year-old. However, he has a release clause of £60million, and the Eagles would expect any potential transfer to match that price point.
Therefore, it looks as though Daniel Levy will need to get the wallet out, with ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – suggesting that Eze would entertain a move to Tottenham.
“Eze is a player with good quality,” King said.
“However, he seems to be a very similar player to James Maddison. I do think Eze would be interested in a move to Tottenham because Crystal Palace are a mid-table Premier League club.
“He’s got himself in the England setup, and he is a very interesting player. Whether he is better than Maddison I’m not sure, but he is certainly in that bracket. I’m not surprised that Spurs are interested in him because he is a Tottenham-type player.
“A contract offer would certainly interest Eze and his representatives. However, I think he will need some guarantees that things are going to improve at Tottenham, on the pitch.”
Postecoglou must convince Eze to join Tottenham
At the moment, Spurs aren’t exactly the most attractive proposition. Therefore, Eze could have some doubts about making a move to the club.
However, should they finish the season on a high, and should Postecoglou lead the North London club to UEFA Europa League glory, things could quickly change and Eze could be sold on a move.

As a result, Spurs must push on over the next few months to give themselves the best chance of signing high-profile players such as Eze this summer.
