Doctor issues Richarlison update ahead of Tottenham v Newcastle
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Tottenham Hotspur...
Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison may not be ready to play the 90 minutes against Newcastle, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he might be ready to start a first-team game after the one against the Magpies on Sunday, December 10.
He even referenced an article published by Football London which claims he could only play 10 minutes against Manchester City last weekend.

Discussing the state of play with Richarlison exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He is still working on getting his match sharpness back post his groin injury and may still not be 100 per cent.
“There was even a report about the minutes restriction once he was back in training and that was so low due to the intensity of the match so the risk was already considered.
“He played a handful of minutes against Manchester City and nearly half hour against West Ham so the intensity is ramped up.
“The next game after Newcastle, he may be in contention to start but is a doubt for this one.“

The Brazil attacker has not lived up to the billing yet at Spurs after his big-money move from Everton last summer.
He excelled at the Toffees and was seen as one of the main reasons why they’re still a Premier League side. Initially, Richarlison was brought in to supplement Harry Kane in the attack, but it’s now a much more fluid front four.
With James Maddison and Manor Solomon out and Bryan Gil and Brennan Johnson not particularly impressive, he may be in line for more minutes in the coming games.
In other Tottenham Hotspur news, a player is mooted to have suffered a setback in his rehabilitation and now may be out for longer than first expected.
