Doctor issues injury update on Tottenham attacker Manor Solomon
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Tottenham Hotspur...
Tottenham Hotspur attacker Manor Solomon faces a risky return to first-team action post his meniscus injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The Israel international had surgery as well and is slated to return to action in mid January after a lengthy rehabilitation.
The doctors will either have removed the damaged part of the tissue in the knee or will have repaired it but if they did the former, it could mean the timeline for the 24-year-old’s return is reduced, but it could also pose a risk for future setbacks.

Discussing the state of play with Salomon exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He damaged the meniscus in his knee and underwent surgery.
“His routine and timeline will depend on the type of surgery, specifically if they removed the damaged piece of tissue which would mean a shorter timeline but can be riskier.
“There’s also the possibility that they repaired it and did not remove it.
“The best way to avoid setbacks is a methodical return but there’s always risk inherent.“

Solomon has been a bit-part player for Ange Postecoglou’s side since joining the Lilywhites in the summer.
He’s featured in five Premier League games but has been named in the starting XI on just two occasions.
The 24-year-old has contributed to two assists and has predominantly featured on the left wing for Spurs.
It remains to be seen where he is in the pecking order when he does return from injury in the new year.
In other Tottenham Hotspur news, a senior first-team player is set to be out for the rest of 2023 with a Grade 3 hamstring rupture, according to an exclusive by an injury expert.
