Daniel Levy to unlock new ‘lucrative’ revenue stream as FA react to what Tottenham have planned

John Wenham believes Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is capable of finding a “clever” way to get around a recent FA development.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims that the Tottenham players can have few complaints about their post-season trip to Australia.

It comes after The Times reported (23 April) that the FA could look to ban clubs from heading off on lucrative post-season tours with Newcastle United and Spurs set to face off Down Under on Wednesday 22 May.

But Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Levy would still be capable of finding creative revenue streams in North London.

“Tottenham have played far fewer games this season than they have over the past couple of decades,” Wenham said

“There’s been no commitments to travel around Europe this year so the players can’t have many complaints about this trip to Australia.

“If the FA were to look to implement this change, then clubs would just come up with a clever way to get around it.

“Especially Levy, I would certainly back him to find another lucrative revenue stream.”

Daniel Levy will continue to generate cash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

While it is understandable that the FA might be concerned about player welfare when it comes to these globe-trotting post-season trips, Levy will still be keen on making the lucrative journey to Australia.

Should the FA prevent the Spurs chairman from doing this, he has proven that he has plenty of other ways to make money.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has become something of a cash cow in recent times, and no matter what the FA decide to do, it looks as if revenue in North London will only continue to increase.
