Daniel Levy to take step back at Tottenham amid American investment update
Bryan King believes Daniel Levy could soon take a step back at Tottenham amid talks of investment from America.
The ex-Spurs scout has questioned how much more criticism Levy can stomach in North London.
It comes after a report in the Daily Mail (28 April) revealed that the Spurs chairman is continuing his search for investment, with at least two US-based groups having shown interest in acquiring a stake in the club and been made aware of the numbers involved.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels that Levy could soon look for a way out.
“Spurs would only entertain the right kind of investment, that is for sure,” King said.
“But the door is clearly open, and I’ve heard of several American investors keen to get involved with the Premier League.
“Tottenham are a big club, they’re open to investment, the question is how much is on offer?
“In my opinion, I’m not sure Levy will want too much more involvement with Spurs because he is not exactly a fan favourite, and it can’t be nice for anyone to receive that level of criticism.”
Could Daniel Levy be searching for an exit route at Tottenham?
Levy has most definitely had a lot of financial success with Tottenham in recent times.
While he might not be looking to take a step back anytime soon, he surely won’t want to continue in what must be a very stressful job role forever.

It wouldn’t be a surprise for him to begin to reduce his involvement over the coming years, and new investment could be one way for him to do that.
In other Tottenham news, one player at the club will need to be at his best ahead of a tricky run-in.
