Daniel Levy ‘would leave Tottenham’ with handover period mooted after takeover
Tottenham could find themselves under Qatari ownership in the near future, and they will have a decision to make on the future of Daniel Levy if successful.
Tottenham have endured a tough season this time out, though those failures have stretched far beyond a single campaign with their last trophy won 17 years ago.
Much of that has been down to a lack of investment in the right areas, but perhaps more so an inability to use those finances well with several poor decisions made.
Tottenham have since been the focus of a fresh takeover claim, with Qatari investors said to be keen on a deal, which leaves questions to be had over the future of Levy.

Qatari ownership have a decision to make on Levy
Levy is understood to be keen on staying on at Spurs, even if the takeover is to go through. However, according to Paul Robinson, his future may be determined further down the line.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Robinson said: “Daniel gets a lot of stick. A lot of unfair stick at times because of the way that the team’s underperformed and the lack of investment on the field.
“There’s going to have to be some kind of a handover period even if he was to leave. I can’t imagine that Joe Lewis and the ownership of the club would sell out in full.

“I suspect it would be a part ownership. There would be a partnership with the Qataris, which would be a brilliant investment.
“I don’t envisage an immediate situation where Daniel would be moved on. I think there would be a level of investment to begin with, where Daniel would stay.
“If that was to develop further down the line, then there may be calls for him to move on, or the new ownership may want to bring their own people in. I can’t imagine a big takeover that would have wholesale changes as of yet.”

Ange Postecoglou surely under threat
While some concerns were alleviated when Spurs beat Ipswich Town 4-1, it can’t be overlooked how Ange Postecoglou has played his part in the regression this season.
If Levy’s future is to come under threat, the same will surely happen with Postecoglou if the new owners are to build for a brighter future.
Tottenham fans deserve a club that is capable of challenging for trophies, but as things stand, it is far away from being that.
