Daniel Levy ‘tipping point’ emerges with Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou appears to be trudging towards the sack at Tottenham, waiting for Daniel Levy to put him out of his misery.

The Australian once again clashed with Spurs fans after the 2-0 defeat at Fulham before the international break, with it starting to look like there is no way back.

Postecoglou is said to be under serious pressure of the sack now, although he may get one last shot at silverware and success in the Europa League, first.

Postecoglou set for Tottenham compensation

Dan Plumley has suggested that the Spurs boss is coming to a natural end in North London and looks likely to part ways with the club at the end of the season.

The football finance expert admits that Levy will have a tipping point to sack him earlier than that, with compensation needed if that happens.

“I think ultimately, everyone has got a tipping point,” Plumley exclusively told Tottenham News.

“Again, we can cite examples with some of those at Spurs.

You need to give managers time, I appreciate that, and there is an importance to backing managers, but there is always a tipping point, and if there are fan clashes with managers and the PR around that, these things all heighten that situation.

I do think you can cut through some of the noise with that and look at the performances on the pitch, and I’m sure Spurs will have set examples for this season, and it’s whether or not they feel those objectives have been achieved, so you can cut it out.

If they are to sever ties with the manager, then compensation fees come into it, but I do think it feels as though it may go until the end of the season, given they are still in the Europa League.

You can see it coming to an end at the end of the season, depending on what happens on the pitch, but everything has a tipping point, and it’s when that comes too far, and that’s when decisions get made.”

Postecoglou set for very last chance at Tottenham

It is starting to feel like the former Celtic boss will be sacked no matter what, even if he wins the Europa League, with fans simply having had enough.

There is only so much talk and excuses they can be subjected to.

With Andoni Iraola the number one choice to take over, with a £10million release clause, plans appear in place ready for Levy to make the move.

The clock is ticking once again on another manager at Tottenham.
