Daniel Levy slammed for ‘exploiting’ Tottenham fans after club announcement
John Wenham has accused Daniel Levy of “exploiting” Tottenham supporters after a recent announcement.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has criticised how the prices of club kits continue to rise each season.
Tottenham unveiled their home kit last month (4 June), with the price of an ‘elite’ shirt set at £125.
Just a few weeks later the club revealed their away strip (24 June), with that kit costing the same amount as the home shirt.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has criticised Levy and Spurs for the prices which are being charged.
“This is something which is becoming more apparent in the modern game, and supporters are therefore going to be frustrated,” Wenham said.
“We never used to have ‘elite’ kits – you would just buy the kits that the players would wear and that was that. That is different now, and as a result, we’re seeing the prices increase as well.
“It is just another example of a revenue stream which Levy and Tottenham, as well as other clubs, are exploiting at the expense of supporters.”
Daniel Levy continues to find ways to make money at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
It is becoming more and more expensive to support your favourite football team. As a result, fans are going to expect to see a return on the pitch.
Not only are the prices of kits increasing, but it is also becoming more expensive to attend a match in person.
With all of the money Spurs are generating from commercial partnerships, third-party events at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and broadcast deals, supporters will be wondering why they’re being charged more.

Loyal supporters are being priced out of football, with your everyday fan now needing to create a savings pot just to buy a ticket and shirt to support their club.
Therefore, unless Spurs start to deliver on the pitch, supporters are likely to become more and more frustrated.
