Daniel Levy blasted after ‘disappointing’ Tottenham statement
Daniel Levy continues to harm his popularity among the Tottenham faithful after a recent statement.
Ahead of Spurs’ 3-1 Premier League win over Southampton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (6 April), supporters made their feelings toward Levy very clear.
Hundreds of Tottenham fans took to the streets to protest against Levy and ENIC as frustration continues to build after an underwhelming season in North London.
Levy isn’t the most popular man at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, even at the best of times. However, it doesn’t look as though he is doing much to change that, especially after a recent statement he released.

Levy releases official statement as Tottenham make financial reveal
Tottenham recently released their financial results for the year ended 30 June 2024, with Levy’s priorities clear based on the figures that were published.
Alongside the figures, Levy published an official statement addressing the supporters, which appeared to make clear to Ange Postecoglou that he will be sacked if Spurs do not win the UEFA Europa League.

However, it was also a statement which left Tottenham supporters furious, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is one of those angry fans.
“Levy’s statement was incredibly disappointing,” Wenham said.
“He acknowledged that the club make lots of money from all of these third-party events, but at the end of the day, if you’re not going to push us on, what is the point?
“Excuses are continually made, the club admit they make all this money, but times are still going to be hard, and we need to spend sensibly. It is just outdated, hollow words.
“Supporters have heard it all before, and that is why there was such resentment toward the statement Levy released on the back of those financial figures.”
Levy needs to win over supporters at Tottenham
As long as Spurs continue to generate large amounts of revenue, supporters will question where that money is being spent.
Therefore, if Levy wants to win over the Tottenham fans, he needs to finally release the handbrake and spend big amounts of money to try and help the club end their trophy drought.
However, it doesn’t seem as though that is going to happen anytime soon.
