Antoine Semenyo ‘to clear medical’ as Tottenham transfer news emerges

Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo this summer.

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has assessed the Ghana international’s game time and fitness ahead of a potential move in the coming weeks.

He has been a regular for the Cherries and bagged double-digit goals in the Premier League last term.

The 25-year-old is not expected to face any issues clearing his medical ahead of a transfer, according to Dr Brar.

Tottenham are keen on Semenyo and a move could be on the cards at the right price.

Discussing the state of play with Semenyo exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.

He played all but one league game last season and even the one he missed was due to a suspension,” he said.

Having looked at his injury record, there is no reason for him to fail his medical.

He also has Premier League experience under his belt, so the adaptation won’t take too long.

Tottenham should consider Semenyo as Richarlison’s replacement

Semenyo would be an excellent signing for Tottenham due to his dynamic skill set and potential to enhance their attacking options.

The 25-year-old Bournemouth winger has proven his Premier League credentials, combining blistering pace, direct dribbling and clinical finishing, with 11 goals and six assists in the 2024/25 season.

His versatility to play across the front line is an added benefit and he can replace Richarlison, who has been linked with an exit.

Semenyo’s work rate and ability to press align with Tottenham’s tactical demands, while his youth ensures long-term value.

With Spurs aiming to bolster their squad for a top-four push, Semenyo’s £30-40 =million price tag represents a shrewd investment for a player who can add depth and flair.
