Ange Postecoglou to take another risk with Tottenham player now on a tightrope v Brighton
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Ange Postecoglou will have no hesitation in risking Pape Matar Sarr when Tottenham face Brighton despite him walking a disciplinary tightrope, says Paul Robinson.
The 21-year-old midfielder is just one caution away from suspension for an accumulation of bookings (the Mirror) and his absence would make like even more difficult with Yves Bissouma already banned and James Maddison still on the sidelines.
Former Spurs and England goalkeeper Robinson acknowledged that discipline has been a problem for Tottenham this season and is something that has cost the team at times.

But he cannot foresee Spurs boss Postecoglou not playing Sarr over the threat he will pick up a yellow card when they visit the AMEX Stadium on Thursday (28 December).
“No, I don’t think he’ll change it on that,” he told Tottenham News.
“I mean the discipline has been a problem at Spurs this year, you look at it through the side, the accumulation of yellow cards and red cards has certainly been an issue and it’s cost Spurs some key players.
“Pape Sarr, one yellow card away from a suspension, you would like to think that he could play on the edge without getting a yellow card.

“I don’t think that will come into the manager’s thinking I really don’t because of the lack of players he has got available at his disposal and the potential players he’s going to lose in January.
“I think he’s going to have to use the players he’s got there. And I think he’ll pick it based on what he thinks is his strongest XI regardless of booking points.”
Tottenham are looking for a fourth straight Premier League victory having chalked up wins against Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Everton.
However, they will have to do so without Cristian Romero who has joined a growing absentee list with a hamstring injury.
In other Tottenham news, Hugo Lloris is a “realistic possibility” for a Premier League rival.
