Yves Bissouma ‘talking to clubs’ as sources drop £83.2m Tottenham transfer news

Yves Bissouma is surely set to leave Tottenham this summer as sources share a new £83.2million transfer news.

The Mali international joined Spurs for a deal worth £35million in 2022 after impressing for Brighton over a four-year spell.

However, the midfielder has been incredibly inconsistent during his time in North London amid the team’s ongoing struggles on the pitch.

Daniel Levy will already been seeking solutions to get Tottenham back on track and that could mean the end of Bissouma in Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Spurs eye summer swoop for Richard Rios

Tottenham are ready to make a move to sign Richard Rios from Palmeiras in the summer, according to CaughtOffside.

Sources have told the news outlet, reporting via their website on 9 February, that Spurs will continue to monitor the Colombia international after being linked with a move for him in the winter transfer window.

The same source claimed in January that Postecoglou’s side had a bid rejected by Palmeiras, although they now clarify that talks did not go beyond initial discussions as his employers wanted his £83.2m (€100m) release clause to be met.

Although a summer move for Rios is on the cards in North London, Levy is still not prepared to bid that high for the 24-year-old.

With West Ham and Nottingham Forest also interested, it is evident that Spurs would have to bid high to sign Rios even if they do not go close to the £83.2m figure.

That, coupled with the fact that they need to make space for the Colombian in the squad, could mean they offload one of their midfielders.

Bissouma is the most likely to make way, with even Tottenham fans wanting him to be sold.

It is also worth noting that the ex-Brighton star will only have a year remaining on his contract at the end of the season, while he is also set to turn 29 later this year.

That means the next window could be the final opportunity for Levy to pocket a significant transfer fee for the Malian.

Bissouma, for his part, will also be aware of his fate if and when Rios joins as he would surely fall down the pecking order with the arrival of an £83.2m-rated player.

Therefore, the midfielder himself may have already asked his representatives to find him a new club.

It would not be a surprise if talks over a summer transfer are already going on behind the scenes.

As for Spurs, they would be delighted if they could find a buyer for him in Saudi, with Levy looking to cut his losses on the player.
