Levy ‘risks almighty Tottenham transfer howler’ as £85m Kudus news emerges
Tottenham are already looking ahead to the summer transfer window, knowing it is vital to have a better season in 2025-26.
The Lilywhites have been extremely underwhelming this term and sitting 14th in the Premier League table has brought a lot of frustrations to the surface.
It’s yet to be seen whether Ange Postecoglou will be given the chance to revive this Tottenham side, but whoever the manager is will need some major changes in north London.

Tottenham receive Kudus update
It’s hard to pick out too many players who have covered themselves in glory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.
The Lilywhites have lacked creativity at the top end of the pitch and often look lost when trying to get the better of an opponent.
With this in mind, one name that is said to be on Tottenham’s list of transfer targets for the summer is Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.
Kudus has shown himself to be a versatile player in claret and blue and has made 25 Premier League appearances this season.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |
25 | 3 | 2 |
The 24-year-old is under contract in East London until 2028, meaning his services will cost any interested party ahead of the new campaign.
According to Ghana Soccer Net (9 April), the price to release Kudus from his contract with the Hammers is £85million.
Postecoglou’s men are not the only ones interested in his services, and with his contract still ongoing, West Ham may well push their hard bargain if they are to be convinced to let him go.

Levy must avoid Kudus deal
It’s fair to say that Daniel Levy is not the most popular man at Tottenham, and that was the case before his side was underperforming to such an extent in the Premier League too.
Nevertheless, the chairman will know how important it is to rectify the struggles of the club in the summer transfer window and look towards the future with more ambition.
Signing Kudus does not quite match up to the level that the supporters would be expecting to see, though – even if they would take satisfaction from nabbing a West Ham player.
The current Hammers man certainly has talent and the ability to play throughout the season, something which should be crucial criteria for Tottenham after their struggles this season.
However, five goal involvements in a struggling West Ham side hardly delivers much confidence that he has the ability to be a revelation in north London going forward.
What’s more, Tottenham had the chance to sign Kudus for just £700,000 when he was at FC Nordsjaelland. Instead, the Ghanaian joined Ajax.
With that in mind, if Levy was to now willing to cough up a massive £85m for the player Spurs previously passed on, it would not do his reputation any favours.
If this was a transfer done back when he was available for cheap, Levy would be deserving of some credit, but at this stage it would be a terrible deal all around for Tottenham.
