Daniel Levy ruins Tottenham takeover already after new developments

Daniel Levy looks to have already ruined plans of a takeover at Tottenham.

The North London outfit’s chairman has turned into an antagonist in N17 for many supporters after failing to win a trophy in the last 17 years.

Spurs fans have protested against Levy and asked for his dismissal after yet another underwhelming season with little to no success.

Ange Postecoglou has struggled in the Premier League in the current campaign and must seemingly be angry with the chairman for not backing him enough in the winter transfer window.

Tottenham takeover ruined by Levy demand

Fresh investment feels like the need of the hour at the North London outfit after their decline over the last few years.

Levy’s decision-making regarding transfers has been questionable, and there has also been a lack of stability with the managers.

Since Mauricio Pochettino’s dismissal, the likes of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte found life difficult in N17.

The only factor that has been a constant during Tottenham’s failures over the last few years has been the chairman, and the supporters may have to endure him for longer.

Levy demands influence during takeover talks

Levy has held talks with potential buyers at Spurs, but nothing has transpired yet due to his demands.

No deal has emerged at the North London outfit due to the chairman’s desire to retain influence, according to Bloomberg.

The news outlet reports (26 February) that Levy’s high demands have put off potential investors, and his desire to remain in charge in some capacity hasn’t helped either.

It has been claimed that the Spurs chairman also wants to remain a significant investor at the Lilywhites or be in charge of sporting decisions via a lucrative contract.

It seems like the North London outfit will have to expect similar disappointments in the coming future as long as Levy doesn’t change his demands.

Postecoglou failed to lead Spurs further in the FA Cup or Carabao Cup, leading to questions around his future.

The Australian manager needs to take some blame for the Lilywites’ performances this season, but the hierarchy haven’t helped him after the multiple injury issues in his squad.

Levy has ruined the chance of a much-needed change in N17.
