Archie Gray ‘will be devastated’ after latest Tottenham transfer update
Archie Gray could find himself further down the pecking order at Tottenham this summer.
Given the failure Tottenham have showcased domestically, the need for summer reinforcements couldn’t be more obvious if they are to avoid a repeat of the current campaign.
Viktor Gyokeres has already been linked with Spurs [Fichajes] in a move that would address the attacking concerns, though Tottenham would have plenty of other areas left that would require immediate attention.
However, any move must be in the best interest of the club and the players who have excelled in an otherwise dismal campaign, with the latest news going against the grain.

Tottenham want to sign Wolves midfielder
Gray has been the shining light for Spurs this season, and will likely remain that way until the very end of the campaign, which will see Tottenham make some needed decisions ahead of the summer.
One of those decisions could see Tottenham sign Joao Gomes, after the Wolves midfielder was linked with a switch to North London [GiveMeSport].
Although one or two midfielders could depart Tottenham this summer, it would leave them with Gray, Gomes, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall to compete for places.
Tottenham | Appearances | Pass accuracy | Passes completed | Duels won |
Archie Gray | 21 | 90.8% | 824 | 36 |
While it is unknown who the manager will be next season, it is unlikely that Spurs would sign Gomes for what would be a relatively high fee, just to see him used as a rotation option, which would then leave concerns over the amount of football Gray would get.
Quite frankly, this team needs to be built around Gray given the form he has showcased this season, and any decision made in the summer simply needs to revolve around that.

Daniel Levy holds the future of Tottenham in his hands
Tottenham have failed to win a trophy since 2008, showcasing just how far away they are from being at the level many would expect them to be.
Sitting 14th in the table, Daniel Levy will be aware of the task he has at hand this summer when it comes to recruiting players, but also when it comes to finding their next manager, with Ange Postecoglou almost certainly set to face the sack.
This summer will be a massive one for Tottenham and one that could play a key role in deciding where the future of the club lies.
