Ange Postecoglou ‘has lost the plot’ after ‘outstanding’ Tottenham claim
Ange Postecoglou is under intense pressure at Tottenham to keep his job, but it appears the Australian has lost his mind after his latest comments.
Tottenham have done little but embarrass themselves this season, with Sunday’s FA Cup exit to Aston Villa providing the icing on the cake.
Having crashed out of the Carabao Cup just three days prior, Spurs are now looking more likely than ever to finish the season without any success whatsoever.
Postecogolou has been the driving force behind that failure, with an inability to captivate his side closely followed by his unwillingness to recognise the disaster that he is causing, with his latest comments showcasing his deluded nature.
Ange Postecogolou makes ‘outstanding’ Tottenham claim
Despite only just being knocked out of the FA Cup, Postecogolou was still trying to find the positives while appearing to completely avoid any blame for what has happened this season.
Speaking to the press after the game (9 February), in quotes reported by the Daily Mail, Postecogolou said: “Look at what this group have been doing for two-and-a-half months. It can’t be that people think (the injury situation) is an excuse.
“That’s just not anywhere near close to objective analysis. That’s just agenda-driven stuff. If it’s to get rid of me that’s fine. Good on you. Go for it a million times. But what this group has given is outstanding.”
For context, Spurs are out of both cup competitions, while facing the genuine prospect of a relegation battle.
Agenda? Outstanding? Two remarkable deflections yet again from Postecogolou who will know himself that there has been nothing “outstanding” about what Tottenham have endured this season.
They are two fairly outrageous claims from Postecoglou who will do absolutely anything in his power to defend what is a dismal situation.

Daniel Levy, pull the trigger
Postecoglou simply cannot be afforded another day as manager. If he is, it showcases a complete lack of ambition from Levy who deserves to shoulder just as much blame as the Australian.
Spurs are going nowhere under his guidance or lack of. How can everyone within the footballing world see that, aside from Levy?
Injuries have played their part as well as other factors, but until Postecooglou is shown the door, there is no possibility that Tottenham can start to progress.
It is just excuse after excuse now, with more than enough quality on the pitch to win games that doesn’t seem to be happening, so that is when the tactics come into play – is that an agenda?
Even Levy looks fed up in the stands at every game when pictured, and he must be more concerned about results than what fans are singing about him.
Time is ticking for that decision to be made, which at this point, cannot be too far away.
