Clare Hunt lets Robert Vilahamn down in Tottenham Women loss v Manchester City Women

Tottenham Women defender Clare Hunt had an evening to forget in the 4-0 Barclays Women's Super League defeat against Manchester City Women on Friday.

After getting back to winning ways in the WSL with a 2-1 win over West Ham Women at Brisbane Road (3 November), Robert Vilahamn's side came crashing back down to earth at the Etihad Stadium (8 November).

City opened the scoring through Khadija Shaw inside the first minute, with the striker eventually completing her hattrick in the 67th minute, just one minute after Jill Roord had added City's third of the night.

It is now four defeats in five for Spurs, which leaves the North London side seventh in the WSL.

And Vilahamn would have been particularly disappointed with the performance of centre-back Hunt.

However, the 25-year-old was not at her best against City. As per Sofascore, she made one error which led to a goal, while she also won just one of her three ground duels and zero per cent of her aerial duels.

While she did make four clearances, one tackle and block one shot, as well as complete 86 per cent of her passes, she also only provided one accurate long ball from four attempts.

Vilahamn clearly wasn't happy with what he had seen as he hooked the defender at the break.

Therefore, the Spurs boss will be hoping for much more from Hunt going forward.
