Tottenham: Luka Vuskovic will be popular at Spurs after what he was spotted doing on Friday

Luka Vuskovic is wasting little time endearing himself to Tottenham supporters.

Spurs beat out the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool to sign Vuskovic for £12million from Hajduk Split back in September (Evening Standard, 25 September).

FIFA rules prevent British clubs from signing overseas players under the age of 18 and with Vuskovic yet to reach that milestone, having only recently turned 17, the Croatian must wait until 2025 to link up with Ange Postecoglou.

In the meantime, Hajduk Split have decided to send the centre-back on loan, a decision which was first exclusively revealed by Tottenham News (29 September).

Radomiak Radom is where he is playing his football this season and after a difficult start to life in the Ekstraklasa, the defender has become a key player in Poland.

While his performances have been impressive in their own right, Spurs fans would have been more impressed by what they spotted Vuskovic wearing after Radomiak Radom’s 3-2 victory over Pisat Gliwice on Friday night (8 March).

After the final whistle blew at the Stadion Miejski, where Vuskovic had just inspired his side to their second consecutive victory, the central defender was spotted wearing Tottenham shin pads during celebrations in a video shared to X by The Spurs Watch (9 March).

Vuskovic hasn’t even yet arrived in North London and he is already fully on board with the club, which is a positive sign for fans.

It is a small detail, but one which will likely make him a very popular man at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, especially after his impressive displays.

Following his first win and goal for Radomiak Radom on Monday (4 March), the 17-year-old followed that up with another goal in Friday’s victory.

In addition to his goal, he made 10 clearances, and four interceptions, while he also won four of his six aerial duels and three of his five ground duels as he helped his side hold on to claim all three points.

The level of football is of course a completely different prospect to that of the Premier League, but Vuskovic is still young, and if he can adapt as well to life in England as he has in Poland, then Spurs could have a serious talent on their hands and someone who is clearly already on board with his new club.
