Leo Black is continuing to prove that he has the potential to become a star at Tottenham.

Black has been in impressive form as of late, establishing himself as a player for Ange Postecoglou to keep an eye on at Hotspur Way.

He recently penned his first professional deal in North London and that, alongside his recent international exploits, will have given Postecoglou enough of a reason to take a closer look.

And if the Australian has been taking a closer look, he is likely to have enjoyed what he has seen.

Black has already proven his ability as an inverted right-back, and in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace's Under-18s on Saturday (20 April), it was the defender's versatility which was on display.

Leo Black could become a future star at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou

Black captained Spurs for their Under-18 Premier League clash against the Eagles as the spoils were shared in South London.

The 18-year-old was playing as a centre-back for the first time this season, and even out of position, Black still managed to have a big say on the outcome of the match.

After a disappointing first half which saw Spurs behind at the break, it was the defender who got his team on the front foot in the second half, as his surging run forward in the 55th minute caught Palace off guard and saw the home side's goalkeeper properly tested for the first time.

Tottenham began to grow into the game, and after Palace had been reduced to 10 men, the visitors forced an equaliser in the 86th minute, with Black once again at the centre of things.

It was his corner which was inadvertently turned home by a Palace player, which allowed Spurs to rescue a point.

Postecoglou is a big fan of versatile players, which could work in Black's favour after his performance on Saturday.

And if Black continues on this trajectory, it might not be long until he earns himself a first-team opportunity.
