Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou has one to watch in Tyrese Hall after what happened on Friday

Tyrese Hall could soon become a very popular name among supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It is an exciting time to be a young player at Hotspur Way.

Spurs’ Under-21s are flying high, sitting top of the Premier League 2 and into the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup, where they will face Aston Villa Under-21s on 2 April.

As for the Under-18s, they have also been competing at the top end of their table, and the bright form of Spurs’ young hopefuls has been reflected in the recent international call-ups.

As per Tottenham’s Official X account (15 March), Hall has earned his first England youth call-up after being selected to represent the Under-19s off the back of his standout performances with Spurs’ Under-18s this season.

In addition, Will Lankshear, Jamie Donley and Alfie Dorrington have all also been selected to represent England’s Under-19s once again.

Tyrese Hall has an opportunity to demonstrate his talent outside of Tottenham

Hall has been on fire this season, starting 13 matches at the heart of Spurs’ midfield in the Under-18 Premier League South, scoring three times while also providing three assists.

In addition, Hall also started all four of Spurs’ FA Youth Cup fixtures, scoring three times and providing one assist before the North London side were eliminated from the competition by Manchester City Under-18s (24 February).

As a result of his fine form, he has recently been called up to play regularly with the Under-21s at Hotspur Way, starting the last four matches in the Premier League 2, providing two assists.

Hall is developing quickly, and Ange Postecoglou will likely already have his eye on the young midfielder.

The 18-year-old’s ability to impact proceedings in the final third while playing as a central midfielder will be of particular interest to the Australian, who likes his goal contributions to be spread throughout the team.
