Tottenham transfers: New Kolo Muani favourites named, Cunha chances slashed

Ange Postecoglou could save himself from being sacked as Tottenham manager as the January transfer window springs to life.

The under-pressure manager currently has multiple of his first-choice stars sidelined, which has seen Spurs falter in recent Premier League matches, leaving them 12th in the table.

With that in mind, Postecoglou will be keen to add a few new faces to his squad as the Lilywhites attempt to push up the table, battle in the Europa League and aim to lift the EFL Cup.

Tottenham new favourites to seal Randal Kolo Muani loan

Postecoglou’s side are the new favourites to sign PSG star Randal Kolo Muani despite a recent update suggesting that London rivals Arsenal were set to win the race.

Sky Bet previously had the Gunners as 4/1 favourites to seal the Frenchman’s signature, but with their odds now priced at 10/1, the bookmakers tip Spurs at 7/4 to sign him.

Matheus Cunha close to “lucrative” deal amid Hotspur Way links

While Spurs had been credited with an interest in Wolves’ superstar forward Matheus Cunha [TBR Football], it is understood the 25-year-old’s future could be sealed within the next two weeks.

According to The Telegraph, the Brazilian is edging closer to signing a “lucrative” contract at the Molineux Stadium, having become a key figure in the current squad.

While it does not completely rule out a move to London, with Arsenal also keeping tabs on the player, it is certainly a big blow in the Lilywhites’ pursuit of the exciting forward.

Antonin Kinsky blow emerges ahead of EFL Cup clash v Liverpool

With Guglielmo Vicario sidelined, and Fraser Forster too ill to start the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United, fans were extremely excited by the early signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.

However, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay, the talented 21-year-old is unlikely to feature against Liverpool on Wednesday 8 January due to not receiving his work permit in time.

If Forster is still unavailable, it could be a second consecutive start for Brandon Austin, who has just one Premier League appearance to his name – the 2-1 loss to the Magpies.

In other Tottenham news, fans have reacted to a “total disgrace” of an incident between Archie Gray and Alexander Isak during the clash with Newcastle.
