Tottenham to pounce now as Gleison Bremer emerges as likely Cristian Romero replacement
Gleison Bremer has emerged as favourite to replace Cristian Romero at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites have already been in the market for a centre-back this summer as they look to add to their backline.
Jan Paul van Hecke has emerged as a target, but Brighton have set a £70million asking price for the Dutchman.
That has certainly raised eyebrows in North London and looks to have prompted a look at other options.
Bremer has emerged as the latest target after four years featuring for Juventus.
The Brazilian could be on the move to N17 this summer as Roberto De Zerbi looks to land a replacement for Romero.

There is always going to be a need for defensive reinforcements at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if someone leaves.
It does feel as if there is going to be a shift this summer after back-to-back 17th-place finishes.
Micky van de Ven has already been linked with a move away, as has his Argentine centre-back colleague.
Tutto Sport reported on Tuesday that Romero will "do everything possible" to leave this summer once the World Cup is over with.
That has seen Bremer emerge as a target who is said to be at the top of De Zerbi's wishlist this summer.
The Spurs boss is said to know the Brazilian well from his time managing in Serie A, with the Juve ace potentially set to welcome "the prospect of a change of scenery".
He is said to be "intrigued" by the Premier League and the Lilywhites' boss as he keeps tabs on talks between the Old Lady and the North Londoners.
A release clause could make things easier for the N17 outfit as the defender will be available for £50m between 1 July and 10 August.
How does Bremer compare to Cristian Romero?
It's always going to be difficult to replace what the Argentine provides should he choose to leave this summer.
That could be something that Spurs are forced to do and Bremer would certainly be a useful option.
He is 29 years old and is experienced at the top level and is known for his aerial ability at the back.
Romero is no slouch in the air, but is more well known for his tough tackling and no nonsense attitude.
That is something that the Juve man wouldn't necessarily bring, but that may not be a good thing.
The Lilywhites have needed a cool head at the back for a while now, so a change may be useful.
Bremer and Romero aren't truly similar and provide different things, but it could be worth a change in North London after two dismal seasons.
