Bryan King believes Tottenham will make an improved offer for Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.

The ex-Spurs scout has praised the 23-year-old, describing him as a "talented" player full of potential.

As reported by The Times (26 June), Spurs' Premier League rivals Villa rejected an opening offer of £20m plus Lo Celso for Ramsey, with Tottenham now weighing up an improved offer.

But King - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - still feels a deal could be agreed upon.

"If they're seriously interested then make a serious offer," King said.

"Aston Villa will be expecting a better offer. Lo Celso should be classed as a £25million player, based on his experience and international pedigree.

"It sounds like a reasonable deal which could get done. Ramsey has a lot of potential, he is a talented young player, and I think Spurs' next offer for him will be an improved one."

Will Tottenham sign Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa?

This would be another interesting young player for Spurs to add to their ranks.

Ange Postecoglou already has several talented youngsters at his disposal, and Ramsey would arrive as another player with plenty of potential to fulfil.

Whether or not a deal gets done remains to be seen, but if it does, there will be plenty of reasons for supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to feel excited.

Giovani Lo Celso could leave Tottenham this summer

Lo Celso clearly has no future in North London. Therefore, offloading him and landing a bit of cash in exchange for a player who could become a star at the club feels like a no-brainer.

As a result, it is time for Daniel Levy to get the chequebook out and contact Villa.
