Galatasaray to listen to offers for Victor Nelsson in January, Tottenham interested - report

Tottenham target Victor Nelsson is set to leave Turkish side Galatasaray during the January transfer window, according to Aksam.

The Turkish news outlet reported online (30 October) that the centre-back's ties with his current club have become "severed" after a falling out with the technical team.

Galatasaray will evaluate offers for the Denmark international during the January transfer window, as they seek a fee of between £13million and £17million.

Tottenham, as well as their north London rivals Arsenal and Dutch side Ajax, all hold an interest in the 25-year-old.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King told Tottenham News:

"I can assure you that Nelsson isn't good enough for Tottenham.

"I have seen the speculation and where these stories are coming from, be it from Turkey, Galatasaray or an agent, to put this standard of player against possibly the two best central defenders in the league at the moment is a fantasy. Someone is living on a fantasy island.

"I certainly wouldn't look any further into this, he isn't even good enough to come in as a back-up to Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero. Not at all.

"Nelsson just isn't good enough for the Premier League, let alone for Tottenham Hotspur."
