Tottenham push to complete attacker transfer before February 3 deadline

Tottenham are pushing to sign another attacker before the end of the winter transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

The print edition of the newspaper reported (23 January, page 55) that the North London outfit are keen to add to their attacking options as Ange Postecoglou looks ahead to the remainder of the campaign.

However, the Lilywhites are said to be frustrated in their attempts so far, suggesting there is still plenty of work to be done if they are to achieve their aims.

Ange Postecoglou needs to strengthen Tottenham

Although Spurs have some excellent players in their ranks, Postecoglou’s side have been well below what is expected of them this term which has left the manager’s job under pressure.

The North London side have been unlucky with injuries throughout the campaign so far and while they would have been more focused on defensive additions prior, an injury to Dominic Solanke has left the club also needing attacking options.

Timo Werner has been less than impressive during the season so far and if the boss is going to try and push his side forward, especially in his attacking manner of football, he will need the talent in his ranks available to do so.

Although the Lilywhites are frustrated so far, Postecoglou will need to ensure he keeps an open mind when it comes to transfers in order to get someone through the door.

TBR claimed (20 January) that Noah Okafor has been offered to the Australian’s team and although his record so far doesn’t scream out, it could be the kind of cost-effective deal Spurs need to be considering.
