Tottenham new signing: PSG sanction Kolo Muani transfer amid Spurs move

Randal Kolo Muani is allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain amid interest from Tottenham, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Writing via his personal X account on Tuesday night (7 January), Plettenberg reported that PSG manager Luis Enrique has granted Kolo Muani, 26, permission to move before the winter transfer window closes.

Tottenham are reportedly “pushing” to sign the former Nantes and Frankfurt striker with Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Juventus also keen on him.

Tottenham one step closer to signing Kolo Muani

It looks as though a straight path is opening up for Spurs to sign Kolo Muani before the end of this transfer window.

And let’s face it, Ange Postecoglou could really do with him.

The France international has barely played for PSG this season.

He’s made just 14 appearances in all competitions and started just twice in Ligue 1, scoring two goals in the process back in August and September against Le Havre and Lille respectively.

But Kolo Muani’s not being left out for any reason other than the fact Enrique doesn’t play with a striker, he opts for a false nine instead.

Kolo Muani, as a result, has had to make do with being a bit-part player.

Spurs aren’t exactly lacking goals this season.

After 20 Premier League fixtures, the North Londoners have netted 42 times – only league-leading Liverpool (47) have scored more.

But extra firepower won’t hurt a bit, especially with Son Heung-min and Timo Werner struggling to make any impact lately and Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke only playing well in spells.

In other Tottenham news, Daniel Levy has been told to get out of Spurs after this “disgraceful” news was announced.
