Tottenham new signing: Kolo Muani given assurances as loan move closer

Tottenham are making progress to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the winter transfer window, according to Give Me Sport.

The news outlet reports (9 January) that the North London outfit have given the French striker assurances regarding game time and a clear role in the team.

Talks between Spurs and the 26-year-old have progressed smoothly, but there are still details to be hashed with the Ligue 1 outfit over a potential move.

The Lilywhites want to include a buy option in any loan deal, while PSG want it to be an obligation.

Tottenham to complete impressive Randal Kolo Muani transfer

If Daniel Levy is able to get a loan deal over the line for Kolo Muani, he will pull off a massive coup.

The French forward joined the reigning Ligue 1 champions in the summer of 2023 in a big-money move after impressing at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Under Luis Enrique this season, the 26-year-old has struggled for minutes, and, understandably, he’s looking for a team where game time will be guaranteed.

Tottenham have relied on Dominic Solanke to lead the attack in the current campaign, with the Englishman scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

While the former Bournemouth star’s numbers could have been better, the Spurs faithful appreciated his contribution up top.

Ange Postecoglou could do with more options in the forward line, though, as Richarlison has struggled with multiple fitness issues over the years and is still on the sidelines.

The North London outfit’s other attackers haven’t lit up the stage either in the current campaign, with the left-wing especially underwhelming.

Kolo Muani could seemingly add much-needed competition to the squad to spur on the likes of Son Heung-min, Brennan Johnson, and Timo Werner to do better.

In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou has emerged as the next favourite Premier League manager to be axed.
