Tottenham are already considering how to strengthen Thomas Frank's squad in the coming months.

This change of direction was first teased with the Lilywhites' signings over the summer. Tottenham signed Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Mohammed Kudus from West Ham as two of several statement signings.

Meanwhile, Randal Kolo Muani has recently been sidelined for Tottenham since arriving from PSG on loan. But he is set to return to action in due course.

But with the cracks beginning to show in North London, Spurs are looking to add further reinforcements.

Tottenham are interested in Etta Eyong

As reported by Fichajes on 28 September, Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing Levante's Karl Etta Eyong to strengthen their offensive line.

Manchester United and Chelsea are the other two Premier League clubs interested, and it is understood that the Blues have made a formal offer for the striker.

  • Tottenham are keen on Levante's Etta Eyong
  • Chelsea have made an offer for him, even though he only joined Levante from Villarreal in September
  • He cost around £2.6million when he made his move, and is contracted until 2029

As a result, it is understood that Spurs and United have intensified their efforts to sign him in what could become a long-drawn-out battle for his signature.

Etta Eyong joined Levante from Villarreal in September.

His former manager Marcelino was a big fan of the Cameroonian forward, especially his application in training.

“He trains phenomenally, he’s an adorable guy and professional," said the Villarreal boss in August, as quoted by El Desmarque.

Etta Eyong could bring something different to Tottenham

The level of output Etta Eyong continues to show at recently-promoted Levante is off the charts.

Earlier in the season, Spurs supporters were hoping their star striker would pull off something similar. Richarlison had a solid start to the season for Tottenham, but his output has since dwindled.

Eyong is a mobile centre-forward who can create and score for his teammates. He gives Micky van de Ven a run for his money in terms of speed and is direct in his approach.

This combination of precision, speed and creativity offers Frank something different going forward and could be useful if Kolo Muani returns to PSG for good in the summer.
