Tottenham continue to plan for the future after a defender put pen to paper on a new contract at Hotspur Way.

Ange Postecoglou's future is uncertain, with suggestions that Daniel Levy has already made a sack decision.

However, it isn't just the manager's future which is undecided, with a host of players potentially set to leave Tottenham this summer as well, particularly in defence.

Radu Drăgușin could be allowed to leave, while Ben Davies is yet to have his contract extended, with the Welshman's current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

However, even if some defenders do leave this summer, it looks as though Levy already has plans in place after a new contract announcement.

Tottenham defender signs professional contract at Hotspur Way

Spurs look set for a lot of change in defence, especially with Atletico Madrid expected to make a big-money offer for Cristian Romero this summer.

Meanwhile, Luka Vušković is set to arrive at Spurs, while Alfie Dorrington and Ashley Phillips continue to develop out on loan.

Djed Spence, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are the current full-back options, although one player could look to emerge as an option himself after a recent contract announcement.

On Tuesday (1 April), Spurs announced that they were "delighted" to confirm that Miracle Adewole had signed his first professional contract in North London.

Adewole's stats for Spurs' Under-18s this season

Adewole has been a regular for the Under-18s this season, playing the majority of his games at right-back, but also on the right-wing.

The 17-year-old has already made four appearances for the Under-21s and has played for Germany's Under-16s.

Tottenham continue to plan for the future

Adewole is the latest Under-18 player to put pen to paper at Hotspur Way, with a recent contract for Sam Archer expected to potentially cause another goalkeeper to leave Tottenham.

Therefore, it is clear that Spurs are planning for the future, despite plenty of uncertainty in North London.
