Fabio Paratici could help Tottenham sign Jack Grealish with Manchester City ready to sanction the Englishman's departure.

Ange Postecoglou has given Tottenham a huge foundation to build on after winning the UEFA Europa League against Manchester United in Bilbao (21 May).

To prepare for the UEFA Champions League next season, Spurs are planning to strengthen their squad, and Grealish has been linked with a move to North London.

And the return of Paratici could help Tottenham strike a deal with Manchester City.

Tottenham could agree a loan deal with City for Grealish

It looks set to be a summer of change at Tottenham, with Postecoglou's future still uncertain.

One of those changes could be the reappointment of Paratici, who has been widely linked with a Tottenham return.

While speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham suggested that Paratici's return could be announced imminently, and the transfer of Grealish could be his first task.

As reported by TBR Football (29 May), while Grealish is content at City, Pep Guardiola's side are prepared to consider a loan deal for the 29-year-old this summer, with Tottenham among several Premier League clubs willing to sign him.

Grealish is currently one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, and his wages could spell trouble for Levy, who adheres to a strict wage structure.

Therefore, Paratici will have his work cut out for him and will need all hands on deck if Tottenham are to agree a suitable deal for Grealish.

Tottenham should not break their wage structure for Grealish

While he is admittedly a talented player, better players than Grealish have walked the halls of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but have been unable to convince Levy to relent on his strict financial policies.

Since the forward signed for Man City for a record £100million sum, his underwhelming performances have earned him a spot on the bench for the foreseeable future.

With Champions League football next season, Tottenham should be looking to invest in talented players for the future, not players whose best years may be long behind them.
