Conor Gallagher is set to join Tottenham while Mathys Tel and Radu Dragusin could head for the exit door.

After a disappointing first half of the season, which has led to rumours that Tottenham could sack head coach Thomas Frank, Spurs are intent on salvaging their campaign.

The January transfer window presents Tottenham with an opportunity to do just that, as Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher nears a £34 million transfer to Frank's side.

Conversely, Tottenham centre-back Radu Draguin has been linked with an exit and team-mate and Spurs' summer signing Mathys Tel could quit the club in a bid to make it into France's 2026 World Cup squad.

Now, an update has emerged on the Spurs duo.

Mathys Tel and Radu Dragusin learn Tottenham fate

Centre-back Dragusin has just returned from a serious knee injury, and already he has been linked with a Tottenham exit.

Meanwhile, winger Tel has somewhat underwhelmed following his permanent transfer from Bayern Munich.

Although the former is behind Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, among others, in the pecking order, and the latter isn't always first choice, Frank is keen to keep the duo at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That is according to Sky Sports, who state that none of Frank's first-team squad is "currently allowed to leave the club".

The report adds that Tel has interest from Paris FC and Roma are keeping tabs on Dragusin - but both are still part of Frank's plans.

Cause for concern for Tottenham duo Tel and Dragusin

Tel spent the second half of last season on loan at Tottenham under former boss Ange Postecoglou, with the Frenchman scoring three goals and adding two assists in 20 appearances, 14 of which were starts.

Dragusin, on the other hand, has been working his way back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered last March.

Upon his return to action in late December, in a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, the Romania international came off the bench for the final five minutes.

Since then, he has been an unused substitute in four straight matches.

This season, Tel, 20, has scored three goals in 19 games, with the youngster starting in Tottenham's last two matches.

Tel appears to be more likely to get regular game time this season. But if Dragusin continues to be on the fringes, he may look to leave Spurs sooner rather than later.
