Juventus ‘sense opportunity’ amid £15m Bissouma update at Tottenham

Yves Bissouma has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Tottenham.

Tottenham have a lot of work to do this summer on the recruitment front, and yet most of the focus is on players who could leave in the coming weeks.

Cristian Romero has been linked with an exit, as has Mikey Moore, though the latest updates suggest that Bissouma could also be on his way.

The Malian midfielder has just 12 months remaining on his contract with Spurs, with reports from Italy providing a new update on his future.

Bissouma exit could be on the cards at Spurs

Thomas Frank will be intent on retaining the players he has at his disposal this summer, though he will also be aware of the contract situation.

As for Bissouma, he will be free to negotiate a free transfer to a club abroad in six months time, and Spurs may not want to lose him on a free transfer.

Bissouma had a tough season last time out.

As per the print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (5 July, page 9), Juventus are keen on taking him to Italy, with it claimed that Damien Comolli has “sensed an opportunity” to secure a cut-price deal for the midfielder.

The report claims that Daniel Levy has set a price tag of £15-20million for his exit, with Spurs considering his sale.

Tottenham must add players before they lose them

When a side who are expected to challenge for the top four finish 17th, you’d assume that they would do everything in their power to prevent it from happening again.

However, Tottenham seem to be doing the opposite, and are in need of several quality additions this summer if they are to find success in the Premier League.

However, they cannot afford to sell players without replacements, setting up for what could be a crucial few weeks.
