Harry Kane transfer: Tottenham update emerges after contract development

Tottenham have been handed a transfer update regarding Harry Kane after some contract developments at Bayern Munich.

The England international left the North London outfit in the summer of 2023 and joined the Bavarian giants.

Kane’s potential transfer return to Spurs will undoubtedly be welcomed with open arms by the supporters who are desperate for a prolific striker.

Ange Postecoglou didn’t have the Bayern striker for long, and whether they will link up in the future remains to be seen.

Bayern Munich not worried about Harry Kane amid Tottenham clause

Bayern are not worried about Kane leaving anytime soon, according to Christian Falk.

The Sport Bild journalist revealed in the Daily Briefing (21 February) that the 31-year-old is comfortable at the Allianz Arena as he didn’t use the £66million exit clause in his contract in the winter transfer window.

It has been claimed that the clause will now only be valid next winter, and in the summer of 2026 for a lower amount.

The English striker has a release clause in his contract in case he wants to return to England, with a matching right for Tottenham.

Harry Kane return to Spurs needed

Son Heung-min has been a shadow of himself at Spurs this season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Postecoglou drop him once all his players are available.

The Australian manager has struggled due to several injuries in his squad as the North London outfit have failed to perform well recently.

Dominic Solanke was signed last summer from Bournemouth but he can’t be expected to have the same impact Kane had at the Lilywhites.

Richarlison is also at Spurs, but the Brazilian striker has failed to make much of an impact since his move from Everton, with injuries hampering his career.

As a result, all eyes have been on Son to deliver, but the South Korean forward has failed to showcase the leadership needed to lead the North Londoners.

The 32-year-old was handed the armband after Kane’s departure but has failed to replicate the Englishman’s influence.

Spurs fans will hope the striker returns for one last hurrah in the Premier League to break Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record.

As things stand, though, it doesn’t look like a realistic scenario in the coming future.
