Cristian Romero transfer: Tottenham exit on cards after £60m development
Cristian Romero could possibly leave in the upcoming transfer window amid interest in the Tottenham centre-back.
The Argentina international has been a key player at the North London outfit over the last few years, but fitness issues have seen his game time swindle this season.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Spurs sell Romero next summer as he has been unreliable due to his consistent injuries.
Real Madrid are looking to raid Ange Postecoglou’s team, and they have set their price tag for the World Cup winner.

Tottenham want over £60million for Cristin Romero transfer
Romero is valued at £60million by the Lilywhites amid interest from Los Blancos, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet reports (14 March) that the centre-back doesn’t have a release clause in his contract, and the North London outfit have set their price tag for him.

Madrid have identified the 26-year-old as their target as they look to bolster their backline next summer.
The Argentine national isn’t actively looking to leave, and Tottenham don’t need to sell him, with the defender’s current contract expiring in 2027.

Spurs should move on from Romero
Romero has been unreliable at Spurs over the years, as he has been on the sidelines a lot, making him a liability for them.
The 26-year-old signed for the North London outfit in 2021 from Atalanta and has been influential in N17 due to his aggressive demeanour.
While the fans have embraced the Argentine star at the Lilywhites, there’s growing frustration among the supporters with his fitness issues.
Micky van de Ven has been injury-prone at Spurs as well, but the 23-year-old has shown immense potential and seems to suit Postecoglou’s style of play.
The North London outfit signed Kevin Danso from Lens in the winter transfer window, with Radu Dragusin also part of the squad.
If the Lilywhites sign another centre-back next summer, it would make sense to part ways with someone like Romero and invest the money in other areas of the pitch.
Spurs desperately need a prolific goalscorer, and Daniel Levy will need to spend money in the coming months if he has any ambition of success in N17.
