Archie Gray had a decent debut season at Tottenham, given the challenges the 19-year-old faced.

Thrown into the Premier League after signing from Leeds United, the midfielder was one of Spurs’ better performers in an otherwise poor domestic season.

Amid the awful injury crisis, Gray was forced to play as a makeshift defender for a good portion of the campaign despite it not being his natural position.

Nevertheless, Gray was praised for his performances at Tottenham throughout the season, with the 19-year-old showing great potential.

Gray likes post after Oliver Irow signs new Tottenham contract

Tottenham have plenty of great upcoming youngsters as well as Gray.

The 19-year-old forward is seen as a great upcoming star, and he netted six times in the Premier League 2 last season in 18 matches.

Irow is believed to have plenty of potential

Irow was tipped to make his Tottenham debut last season. However, he is set to receive this honour.

Nevertheless, many Spurs stars were delighted about the news, including Gray.

On Instagram (27 June), Irow announced his delight at signing the new deal, which will keep him at Tottenham at least until 2028.

As a result, Gray liked the post, showing his delight at the news.

Frank should give Irow a chance in pre-season

Under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs were particularly poor at giving chances to their youth players.

This simply must change under Thomas Frank, and he has a perfect chance to assess his academy players this pre-season.

With friendlies against Reading and Luton Town lined up, this is a great chance for Tottenham’s younger players to be given gametime.

From here, Frank will be able to see who is ready for first-team chances at Spurs, or potentially be sent out on loan to secure regular gametime.

Hopefully, Irow will be part of the contigent how are given a chance ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
