What Jamie Redknapp once said about Morgan Rogers after Tottenham target destroyed Arsenal
Tottenham fans already have a lot to look forward to if Aston Villa playmaker Morgan Rogers signs this transfer window.
Spurs look set to miss out on Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, but Daniel Levy has other plans up his sleeve.
Rogers could be on his way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the North London outfit identifying him as one of their priority targets.
The 23-year-old has already proven his worth in the Premier League, and his performance against Arsenal at Villa Park last season in the Premier League was one of his standouts.

Tottenham target Morgan Rogers absolutely magnificent in Aston Villa loss vs Arsenal
Jamie Redknapp dubbed Rogers “unplayable” as Villa lost to Arsenal at home on 24 August 2024.
The ex-Liverpool star called the England international’s performance for the B6 club “absolutely magnificent” as he was too much for Thomas Partey and Declan Rice to handle.
Redknapp hailed the playmaker’s dribbling abilities, giving the Gunners’ midfield a lot to think about when defending against him.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League after the Villans’ 2-0 defeat, the former Spurs ace said: “There’s a lot of things I love about him. I enjoyed his performances when he got into the team last year. But he does this so well. Not many players possess — especially when you look at him, his size — that amount of skill and that pace and that power, and it’s so difficult to stop.
“He gave Thomas Partey nightmares today. Partey couldn’t live with him. Declan Rice he turns inside-out about three times in a second. He just was unplayable, he was absolutely magnificent.”

Tottenham will be without James Maddison for a considerable period after he picked up another injury recently, and a replacement is arguably needed.
Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White looked to be on his way to N17 before Evangelos Marinakis blocked the transfer.
While it could potentially cost more than £80million to sign Rogers from Villa, it will arguably be a worthy investment as Levy looks to get the fans back on his side after losing Eze.
