Tottenham transfer round-up: Kudus offer made as new transfer agreed

Tottenham have accelerated their business in the transfer market as Thomas Frank awaits his first signing.

The PSR deadline will have alerted Daniel Levy to the possibility of exploiting other clubs’ need to balance the books to secure favourable deals for Tottenham.

The Spurs Chairman recently reiterated his commitment to investing in the first team, but has yet to bring any fresh faces to North London this summer.

However, the start of a new week has brought about a lot of movement, with Tottenham News bringing you the latest updates from N17.

José Mourinho to sell Fred to allow for Yves Bissouma move

Yves Bissouma could join Fenerbahçe this summer as the Mali international has fallen out of favour in North London and has one year remaining on his contract.

This would see the midfielder link up with José Mourinho, though his transfer fee and wage demands could pose issues for the Turkish club.

However, according to Turkish Football (30 June), Everton are set to bid for Fred and could be asked to pay upwards of £17million for the former Manchester United midfielder.

This sale would considerably boost Mourinho’s flexibility in the market and could help greenlight the Portuguese manager’s approach for Bissouma.

Tottenham’s first Mohammed Kudus bid rejected by West Ham

As reported by Matt Law via The Telegraph on Monday (30 June), Tottenham have identified West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus as a priority this summer.

The Ghanaian has been linked with a move to North London as Frank has prioritised signing a top-class forward this summer, and is expected to be available for less than his reported £85m release clause.

As Paul O’Keefe reported via X (30 June), Spurs have already submitted a £50m bid for the 24-year-old, which West Ham duly rejected last week.

Tottenham are expected to test the waters again with an improved offer, though historic tensions between the two London clubs could make a deal difficult to strike.

Tottenham set to sign Farren Doran

Tottenham’s approach for more established players has not curtailed their pursuit of signing talented prospects to bring into their ever-growing academy roster.

As reported by Lilywhite Rose via Instagram (30 June), Manchester City Under-18 goalkeeper Farren Doran is set to join Spurs as part of this year’s scholarship intake.

It continues the Lilywhites trend of swooping in for youngsters and follows the club’s recent approach for 16-year-old striker Oliver Boast from Leeds United.
