Tottenham transfer round-up: Bissouma exit lined up as ‘major coup’ sealed
Tottenham have hard launched an eventful summer, and Yves Bissouma has become the latest player expected to leave Hotspur Way.
Daniel Levy is taking no chances as he pieces together his future Premier League and UEFA Champions League-winning squad.
The Tottenham chairman recently expressed his desire to win these two competitions and has since been on the lookout for potential transfer targets.
However, Hotspur Way is set to see more departures than arrivals at the moment as Tottenham News brings you the latest from N17.

Tottenham identify Koni De Winter as Cristian Romero’s replacement
Despite Tottenham’s efforts to keep him in North London, Cristian Romero is expected to leave for Atletico Madrid.
It has now emerged that the Lilywhites want him to replace Romero if he leaves Hotspur Way this summer.
Players | Club | Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Koni De Winter | Genoa | 2024/25 | 26 | 3 | – |
Cristian Romero | Tottenham | 2024/25 | 26 | 1 | 2 |
As reported by the print edition of Mundo Deportivo (6 July, page 21), Romero has rejected an offer to become Tottenham’s highest-paid player. As a result, the club have decided to replace him with Genoa’s De Winter for an amount that would reach £20.7m.
The Belgian defender is comfortable in several positions, which could come in handy for Thomas Frank next season.

Tottenham to appoint Fabian Otte as new goalkeeping coach
As part of Levy’s summer of change, Tottenham are expected to bring Fabian Otte to Hotspur Way.
As reported by the Lilywhite Rose on Saturday (5 July) via Instagram, Otte will be Spurs’ new goalkeeper coach.
It is understood that the 34-year-old is valued for his expertise and will be a great appointment for Spurs, having left Liverpool at the end of June. The decision is seen as a major coup by the North London club.
In addition to several defensive recruits, Levy will be hoping that Otte will help to improve Tottenham’s defensive performances next season. Indeed, Spurs conceded the fifth-most goals in the Premier League next season, and the chairman will be reluctant to see this repeated.
Juventus want to sign Bissouma this summer
Bissouma is expected to leave Tottenham after a bumpy few years in North London.
The midfielder has caught the attention of several European clubs, but it seems a move to Italy may appeal most.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TuttoMercatoWeb on Saturday (5 July), Juventus General Director Damien Comolli is interested in signing Bissouma.
After inconsistent form and interest from clubs outside the top five leagues, a move to Juventus would be a step up for the Mali international. But Spurs are left with the difficult decision on whether to part with a player who still has much to offer.
