Tottenham surely on Harry Kane’s mind as Bayern Munich figure addresses transfer bid speculation
Tottenham would do nothing better to get fans back on side than by re-signing Harry Kane in the summer.
Thomas Frank could be sacked as Spurs boss this week, as supporters are starting to lose their patience not only with the Dane but also with the club’s hierarchy.
The Lilywhites had an uninspiring winter transfer window, and going big in the summer is the only way for ENIC to cover themselves.
Kane has been linked with a dramatic return to Tottenham all season long, with the striker’s contract at Bayern Munich set to expire next year.
The 32-year-old is now approaching the back end of his career, and after achieving silverware success in Germany, it seems he may feel there’s unfinished business in N17.

Harry Kane enters ‘intensive’ talks with Bayern Munich
Spurs fans have been dreaming of Kane‘s return, and felt it was somewhat of a bittersweet moment when the Englishman wasn’t their to lift the Europa League trophy in Bilbao last year.
The forward has made his love for the Lilywhites clear, and has never fully ruled out a return to N17, which has led fans to remain wishful thinking.
But, it may not be as unrealistic a dream as some may think, considering Kane is close to breaking the Premier League record.
Or more importantly, the fact that he could soon find himself at a new club, with recent speculation suggesting that a club is planning a bid for the England skipper.
- Kane’s deal with Bayern Munich runs until the summer of 2027
- He won the Bundesliga with the German giants last campaign
- This season, he has 41 goals in 38 games
According to Sky Sports News on Tuesday, Bayern remain in “intensive” talks with Kane over his future, but specific negotiations on a new deal have not taken place.
The club’s sporting director, Max Eberl, says he cannot comment on rumours that a team is preparing a transfer bid for the striker.
Given his success while with the German giants, it’s hard to see why Kane hasn’t already agreed to new terms with his employers. Unless it’s because he is leaving the door open for Tottenham.
How Tottenham have the financial capacity to sign Kane
Joe Lewis had a reported £150million to spend in the winter window, and perhaps hesitancy over the Dane’s future with the Lilywhites is why fans didn’t see more signings.
The recruits bought in recent weeks, namely Conor Gallagher, Souza, and James Wilson, took Spurs’ spending to £47million, suggesting that Lewis spent under a third of his speculated budget.

Although Kane is clearly still in the debate for being the best striker in world football, his age will significantly decrease his market value compared to the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
Which all just points towards evidence that Lewis could be planning a reunion that would restore faith and harmony among everyone associated with Tottenham.
There’s still hope yet.
