Tottenham ready ‘big offer’ that blows Liverpool out of water to complete £40m+ signing
Tottenham are ready to compete with Liverpool to sign RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande in the winter transfer window.
The Cote d’Ivoire international played a key role for his national side at the Africa Cup of Nations, but the Elephants were knocked out of the competition by Egypt in the quarter-finals.
Diomande has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the North London outfit are willing to make a “big offer” to complete a deal in January.
Spurs have already agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher, but they don’t seem to have any intention of stopping at just one arrival.
Tottenham will have to pay over £40m for Yan Diomande transfer
Tottenham are willing to top any offer made for Diomande, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reports on his Patreon on 13 January that while Liverpool have been monitoring the 19-year-old, the North London outfit could sign him now.
It’s been claimed that the left-winger’s potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could cost over £40million, with the hierarchy in N17 believing the talented youngster could work for them now and be an investment for the future.
Thomas Frank is under pressure at Spurs, but it looks like the Lewis family are willing to back the Danish manager.

The former Brentford boss has lost faith among many supporters after losing to Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on 10 January, and his situation will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
Yan Diomande transfer to be end of one player at Spurs
Mathys Tel could leave Tottenham in January, with the former Bayern Munich forward looking for more game time.
The 20-year-old has started in the last two Premier League games for Spurs, but most of his appearances this season have come off the bench in the final minutes of matches.
If Diomande does arrive in North London, Tel may have to face more competition for a place in the team.
It looks like the groundwork is being laid for the France Under-21 international’s exit in the coming weeks, and his situation will be one to watch closely.
