Tottenham now ready last-gasp deal to sign Chelsea star

Tottenham are considering a late move to sign Axel Disasi from Chelsea, according to Matt Law.

The Telegraph journalist reported via his personal X account on 1 February that Spurs are mulling a move for the centre-back as they wait to see if Fikayo Tomori will join them from AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the North London giants have already approached the player to discuss a transfer.

They are not the only club interested in signing the Chelsea ace, with Aston Villa also linked with a move ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday, 3 February.

Villa have already agreed personal terms with Diasi, as per Romano, and it is now up to the player to decide where he wants to go.

Micky van den Ven returned to action after recovering from an injury this week, but Tottenham have simultaneously been hit with a new setback.

This time, it is Radu Dragusin who has suffered an injury, while Cristian Romero is already on the treatment table.

Romano revealed on Friday (31 January) that Spurs are aiming to sign two new centre-backs before the window closes on Monday as they feel Dragusin’s injury is “serious”.

They have an agreement in place with AC Milan to sign Tomori for a deal worth up to £25million, but there are no guarantees that the transfer will go through.

With Spurs quickly running out of time, they will be hopeful that Disasi does not reject them like Mathys Tel and possibly Tomori have done.

As things stand, it seems Daniel Levy wants to complete three new signings in the final days of the winter transfer window.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs have made a move to sign this Premier League star valued at £60m.
