Tottenham new signing: Kaveh Solkehol drops update as talks underway
Tottenham Hotspur are discussing the potential of a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani this month, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports transfer reporter claimed (7 January) that PSG will listen to offers for the French international, preferring a permanent move or a loan with an obligation to buy over a straight loan deal.
Luis Enrique’s tactical preferences at PSG have frozen out Kolo Muani, who has made only 10 league appearances this season, and the Lilywhites are under pressure to strengthen their underperforming squad.
The 26-year-old is now 7/4 with Sky Bet to join Spurs before the 3 February deadline, with Manchester United and Juventus also in the frame.
Kolo Muani could relish Tottenham style of play
Kolo Muani has drawn comparisons down the years to players such as Thierry Henry, who show that burst of pace and natural athleticism either in wide areas or through the middle.
With the sharp, high-risk, high-reward style of play Ange Postecoglou has instilled into the Tottenham side, Kolo Muani could find a more productive and suitable home in North London as opposed to Old Trafford or in Serie A.
No poor player makes it into the French national team – known for its scary levels of squad depth – and despite his critics, he is a player who with an arm around him can produce on a regular basis.

As Solhekol points out in his report, long-term forward line absentees Richarlison and Wilson Odobert would have aimed to provide a similar outlet to what Kolo Muani can bring, but Postecoglou has been unable to turn to the duo through their respective injuries.
It may be in defence where the crisis lies for the manager at present, but an attacking reinforcement with his ability would be very welcome in N17.
