Tottenham keen to agree loan exit for forward before 3 February deadline

Tottenham are keen to loan Will Lankshear to the Championship, according to Alasdair Gold.

The Football London correspondent reported on 30 January that the 19-year-old is set to depart Spurs on a temporary deal to the second tier.

Various sides including Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Brom, Cardiff and Luton Town have shown an interest alongside other abroad clubs.

Despite this, the Lilywhites are keen to get the forward playing in the Championship rather than away from England.

Will Lankshear to leave Tottenham on loan

There is no shortage of interested parties for the England under-19 international who is unlikely to receive regular minutes under Ange Postecoglou.

The young forward has made just six appearances so far this campaign and could be in line to feature on a weekly basis in the Championship.

With the likes of Burnley, Middlesbrough and West Brom all in the hunt for promotion, it could be the perfect chance for Lankshear to assert himself at a good level.

This could then see him return to North London ahead of next season with a chance of featuring more often for Spurs.
