Tottenham fans ‘to be furious’ as Jeff Stelling shares what he’s heard about Son exit
Tottenham are expected to be busy in the transfer market as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.
The Lilywhites qualified through the back door after winning the Europa League, and will receive a significant financial bonus for competing on Europe’s biggest stage next season.
This money is expected to be spent on players capable of performing among Europe’s elite, and that could mean several existing squad members being sold in the summer as well.

Stelling shares rumours of Son transfer
Son Heung-min is one player who has been linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The South Korean winger is Tottenham’s captain and arguably the most beloved player among Spurs supporters. However, his form has arguably tailed off in the last couple of seasons.
Now, during his talkSPORT breakfast show (9 June), Jeff Stelling has added fuel to the rumours that Son might have played his last Premier League game.
He said: “I’m reading that Son is very likely off to Saudi, which would be another big loss.”
Stuart Pearce, a guest on the show, disagreed with Stelling, suggesting that now might actually be the right time to sell.
“If they could maximise his finances, I think it’s not a bad time because he’s not the same player he was a year or two years ago,” he said.
Son exit could be sealed if Saudi club come calling
Son is 32 now, and he’s not the world-beater he once was.
He was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia two years ago, but nothing came of it.
If Daniel Levy wants to maximise his captain’s sell-on value, now is the time to offload him.
Saudi clubs throw around transfer fees like they’re paying in Monopoly money, so they won’t get a better chance to cash in.
However, at a time of transition for Spurs, supporters will be furious if Son leaves this summer.

The deal could help fund a move for the likes of Leroy Sane or Jack Grealish, who have both been linked with a move to North London
Of course, there’s a chance that Son wouldn’t want to play in the Saudi league. He doesn’t come across as a greedy player who will do anything to secure the biggest pay cheque. Sonny loves Spurs and would probably be far more excited to help them in the Champions League.
Ultimately, the decision will be delayed until Daniel Levy appoints a new manager. Thomas Frank remains the front-runner for the job, and he might have special plans for the Korean to remain at the club.
