Tottenham beat F.C. Copenhagen to defender transfer as manager speaks out
Daniel Levy has come out on top once again this summer after Tottenham beat F.C. Copenhagen to a key defensive signing.
The Tottenham Chairman has had a summer filled with the highest of highs but also the lowest of lows.
Spurs supporters were on their feet when Mohammed Kudus was signed from West Ham, but now anxiously await the outcome of the Morgan Gibbs-White saga.
Levy may still be hit with another blow from Nottingham Forest, but at least he has held the advantage over one club this summer.

Tottenham beat F.C. Copenhagen to Kota Takai
Tottenham recently signed Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale.
The defender was unable to participate in Spurs’ 2-0 pre-season victory against Reading (19 July) due to a knock. However, supporters should be able to see him in action in the coming days.

At first glance, it seems that the Lilywhites had little competition in the battle for his signature. However, a recent reveal indicates that it was not just the London club that appreciated his potential.
As reported by Campo.dk with quotes translated by Sport Witness on Tuesday (22 July), Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup has revealed Tottenham beat his club to the final punch.
Speaking on the podcast Vores Liga, Neestrup said: “I can also say that we looked at (Kota) Takai, who is at Tottenham now.
“He was also a player we had a good look at, but we did not succeed in getting him to Copenhagen. But at least there are some talented players.”

Takai could be loaned out this summer
There was already speculation that Takai could be sent on loan for the forthcoming season. However, Luka Vuskovic’s performance against Reading has added fuel to the fire.
The Croatian scored and provided an assist during the pre-season clash, and fans will be keen to see him involved further. With Cristian Romero expected to remain and Micky van de Ven, as well as Kevin Danso, it is difficult to see where Takai fits in.
As a result, the Japanese defender could be loaned out this summer. A loan to the Championship would allow him to adapt to the pace of English football while strengthening his development.
Therefore, it could be a while before Tottenham fans see him start in a competitive game for the club.
