New York Red Bulls ‘green light transfer’ as Tottenham deal snubbed
Tottenham are assessing their options this summer ahead of a potential squad overhaul.
Spurs have been linked to multiple players since Thomas Frank’s arrival as they look to improve upon last season’s awful Premier League campaign.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful are therefore keen to see quality arrivals in the hope they can return to the top.
However, this has also seen Frank snub potential additions in order to increase the overall standard of his squad.

Timo Werner opens door to New York Red Bulls
Timo Werner simply did not perform for Tottenham last season.
The attacker was extremely poor at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and only netted once in 27 matches.
As a result, Tottenham snubbed the chance to sign Werner when his loan deal came to an end.

Now back at RB Leipzig, Werner looks destined to leave, with the German side set to let him leave for a cut price.
According to Fabrizio Romano (28 June), the attacker could be on the move to the MLS this summer.
The transfer expert has reported that Timo Werner has opened the door to move to New York Red Bulls, with the transfer being given the “green light”
Talks are ongoing, with the MLS being one of the options for the attacker.
Frank cannot repeat past Tottenham transfer failures
In recent times, Tottenham have made multiple horrendous transfers that have gone on to cost the London club.
Even Werner, who was only on loan to Spurs, likely cost Tottenham millions in wages, with no return being seen on the pitch.
Given the state the Lilywhites are in at the moment, Frank cannot afford to repeat these mistakes.
Tottenham simply have to become European contenders again, or they risk being left behind in a Premier League that is becoming more competitive season after season.
This transfer window is likely to be one of the most important in Spurs’ history, and if more flops are signed, it could prove to have massive long-term consequences.
