Gary Lineker names two more forwards Tottenham could sign after Kudus

Gary Lineker has suggested Tottenham might look to swoop for two Premier League forwards.

Daniel Levy made a slow start to the summer but is planning a strong finish as the transfer window approaches its peak.

The 63-year-old has been searching for offensive recruits, with Son Heung-min potentially set to depart Tottenham after almost a decade in North London.

With a deal already agreed for Mohammed Kudus, Lineker has suggested two other forward players whom he wouldn’t be surprised to see Tottenham move for.

Tottenham to move for Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa

Kudus is set to join Tottenham from West Ham for £55million.

The Ghanaian will become the first player to move between the two London rivals since Scott Parker in 2011, and he only wanted to sign for Spurs.

However, the North London club are looking to make numerous other attacking signings and hold a long-term interest in Bryan Mbeumo. It was suggested that Frank’s appointment could convince the right-winger on a move, but his eyes are fixed upon Manchester United at the moment.

The Lilywhites are also considering an approach for Yoane Wissa, whose signing is believed to be separate from the Kudus file.

Mbeumo and Wissa were a formidable duo last season

It is logical to think that Tottenham will need to pick between the Brentford duo this summer, but Lineker, speaking on The Rest is Football on Wednesday (9 July), believes they might try to sign both.

He said: “Spurs are close to signing Wissa, and that would be Frank’s preferred option. He had him at Brentford, didn’t he?

“I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to get Mbeumo as well.”

Tottenham could make a stunning move for Wissa and Mbeumo

Wissa could be an important signing for Frank

While it seems the ship for Mbeumo has likely sailed, Tottenham could still sign Wissa this summer.

Wissa is a versatile player who is mostly deployed as a centre-forward but is comfortable on both the right and left wings. The fact that the 28-year-old played under Frank at Brentford is a bonus, and he would likely need little time to adapt at Tottenham.

With the Premier League and UEFA Champions League in their sights, Wissa would provide the squad depth to help make that dream a reality. Therefore, the Lilywhites should look to sign the Brentford frontman for the right price.
