Kudus to Tottenham likely after what West Ham celebrity fan has been told

Tottenham could be set to end a transfer embargo of sorts by signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

The hated London rivals have not conducted business between each other since Scott Parker swapped clubs in 2011.

However, there is a growing sense that Kudus could buck the trend by joining Tottenham from West Ham.

Indeed, it has already been reported that Tottenham have tabled an offer for Kudus, who they quite clearly want as part of Thomas Frank’s squad for next season.

Ian Abrahams shares what he knows on Kudus to Tottenham

Kudus would undoubtedly be a good option for Tottenham, even if he did underwhelm for most of last season.

The Ghana international scored five Premier League goals and chipped in with three assists, compared to eight and five respectively the season beforehand.

Amid the speculation, talkSPORT broadcaster and celebrity West Ham fan Ian Abrahams took to X on Monday (30 June) to share what he’s been told about a possible move.

“Be no surprise if Mohammed Kudus leaves West Ham this summer,” he said. “I’m told that Tottenham are very interested in him.”

Abrahams is thought to have contacts high up at West Ham, so this message carries more weight than coming from other reporters.

Kudus can kickstart Premier League career at Tottenham

Kudus was superb in his debut campaign in the Premier League, leading to talk of an £80million exit last summer.

That fee is quite clearly too much for Kudus on the back of last season, but he is still a very talented player who could thrive in North London.

The issue will be negotiating a fee with David Sullivan, who will clearly not want to sell to Tottenham – especially not arguably his biggest asset.

Spurs need to know when to walk away from a deal. If it becomes clear West Ham are holding out for close to the amount in the player’s release clause, it makes sense to move onto other targets.
