Hugo Larsson ‘already knows Tottenham position’ as transfer on cards
Tottenham beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday, with Hugo Larsson on the losing end at Deutsche Bank Park.
The Bundesliga outfit hosted Ange Postecoglou’s team in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, losing 1-0 on the night.
Dominic Solanke scored for Spurs after James Maddison won a penalty for the visitors towards the end of the first half.
The North London outfit will hope to win the European competition, but Daniel Levy will arguably already have an eye on the upcoming transfer window as well.

Tottenham ready Larsson transfer next summer
Larsson was able to see where he would fit in at the Lilywhites after playing against them in the Europa League, according to GiveMeSport.
The news outlet reports (18 April) that Spurs want to sign the 20-year-old in the upcoming transfer window but are awaiting clarification from Frankfurt regarding their demands.
Competition (2024/25) | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Bundesliga | 28 | 3 | 0 |
Europa League | 11 | 3 | 0 |
DFB-Pokal | 3 | 0 | 1 |
It’s been claimed that the central midfielder is considering a move to the North London outfit, who are confident of securing his services.
The Sweden international is keen to see how far the Lilywhites will go in the competition, and lifting the title will strengthen their position to get him.

Postecoglou uncertainty to affect Spurs transfer plans
Postecoglou’s future at Spurs is undoubtedly secure for now, following their qualification to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The Australian manager has endured a tough campaign at the North London outfit, and it wouldn’t have been surprising to see him depart if Frankfurt had won the game.
Levy has been reluctant to pull the plug on Postecoglou at the Lilywhites, and winning a title will only make it more difficult to fire the former Celtic boss.
Tottenham are 15th in the Premier League with just six games remaining, and their position in the table is unacceptable.
Even if the Australian manager were to end Spurs’ trophy drought, there’ll still be questions about his long-term future.
For now, it feels like Postecoglou has to win the Europa League to avoid getting sacked, and the North Londoners will be confident about making it to the finals in Bilbao.
The Lilywhites will face Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals, with Manchester United and Athletic Club the other remaining sides in the tournament.
While the former Celtic boss has the chance to make history at Spurs, it’s easier said than done, as several quality managers in the past have struggled to win trophies in N17.
