Harry Kane urged to make controversial Arsenal transfer after ‘Intriguing’ reveal
Tottenham legend Harry Kane has been urged to make a return to England with Arsenal.
The former Spurs talisman left North London a year-and-a-half ago to join German and European giants Bayern Munich.
Kane had been Spurs’ best player for some time before his exit, and even though he left in pursuit of earning some silverware, the 31-year-old once again failed to lift any with the Bavarian club last season.
Although Vincent Kompany’s men are flying high at the top of the Bundesliga table this season, that hasn’t stopped rumours from emerging around his future, with Kane now being urged to make the switch to the Gunners.
Harry Kane cannot join Arsenal at any cost
When people think of Tottenham, one of the first players that likely springs to mind is Kane.
The Englishman was their star man for a number of years and, while he may have exited the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his legacy with the club remained more than intact.
However, in his column for The Sun (11 February), Dave Kidd suggested Kane should make the controversial move to Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal for nothing more than a joke.
“Intriguing that details of Harry Kane’s release clause have been revealed midway through his second season at Bayern Munich,” he wrote.
“These things rarely happen by accident and it suggests the England captain might be open to a move home this summer.
“Of course, the major Premier League club most in need of a centre-forward like Kane is Arsenal.
“Now, I’ve got no dog in the North London derby fight but go on, Harry, do it. Just for the LOLs and bantz.”
Tottenham should make a move for Harry Kane
If the report from The Sun is to be believed, it feels like a no-brainer for Tottenham to make a move for their former star man – even if nothing else to stop Arsenal getting their hands on him.
While Ange Postecoglou may have the likes of Dominic Solanke and Richarlison to lead his attacking line, there’s no denying that Kane’s return would be perfect for the North London outfit.

His keen eye for goal and his evident impact on any team he plays for are rare to find in a player. If the Englishman does want to return to his home country, Spurs would be silly to not at least try and lure him back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At the end of the day, even if Spurs don’t end up making a move or even try to entice him back, it feels highly unlikely that the England international would betray his boyhood club and move to their arch-rivals.
Only time will tell what the future holds, but on paper, Kane’s return to Tottenham could certainly be something for Postecoglou and Levy to look into.
